PS I don't see 'many people' posing that Q here If the problem occurs when you first start or wake up your PC, its because the PC hasn't fully initialized. If it doesn't the problem is likely caused by third party add-ons integrated with MS Outlook, eg anti-virus Start Outlook using the safe switch (Hold the Ctrl Key when starting OL) does the problem reoccur? If there is a request for a password when opening MS Outlook, its your mail account password, which is stored in the registry
